Kids at Sunset Ridge

We love having families here on Sunday mornings, and we want your kids to feel right at home. Whether your child is a curious preschooler or a fifth-grader, there's a place for them to belong, make friends, and grow in faith.

Kids are welcome everywhere. Children are always welcome to stay with their caregivers during either worship service — including participating in communion. We never want a family to feel like they have to split up.

Bringing Your Child to Formation for the First Time? We'd love to help make it a smooth and welcoming experience. Reach out to our Children's Ministry Director, Becky King, ahead of your first Sunday and she'll make sure your child knows exactly where to go and feels at home from the moment they walk in.

New Here? If it's your first Sunday, just let one of our greeters know — we're happy to walk you to your child's classroom and answer any questions. We want drop-off to feel easy and your kids to feel excited to come back.

Sunday Mornings for Kids

  • Free nursery care is available for children 6 months - 3 years (in diapers) during the adult discipleship times on Sunday mornings and during worship.

  • Roots—Formation at 10:15 AM Between our two worship services, kids in Pre-K through 5th grade have their own age-specific classes as part of our church-wide Formation hour. Classes meet in a relaxed, nurturing environment where kids explore Scripture and grow together.

    Godly Play—During the 11 AM Service During our 11:00 AM instrumental worship service, children participate in Godly Play, a hands-on, wonder-based curriculum that invites kids into the stories of the Bible in an age-appropriate, imaginative way. Kids are brought back in to join their families for communion and singing at the close of service.
