Dick and Janet Ihfe
Dick and Janet Ihfe were married in 1966 and they have been a part of the Sunset Ridge family since 1970. They have raised four children, all of whom are married, and they enjoy time with their 10 grandchildren. Dick says he has been held strong in the faith by virtue of his marriage, his children, and the influence of Christian friends. When Dick is not practicing law, he enjoys reading, woodworking, hunting and fishing, and working around his property. Dick loves getting to know the diverse people of Sunset Ridge. He especially enjoys growing with them in the Lord, and watching the effect of the church on their lives as they become involved. Dick also loves to study the Word and listen to what other people think about our amazing God. His love of learning recently prompted him to return to school to earn a Master of Divinity degree. Dick puts his knowledge and wisdom to good use as a willing and accomplished teacher and, on occasion, as a preacher. His wife, Janet, is also involved in teaching and is part of the Adult Education Committee. Janet also participates in teaching Ladies' Classes and planning with the Women's Ministry Committee.

Anthony enjoys working with the Children’s Ministry as well as teaching. Glenna also participates in teaching and serves with the praise team and media ministries. After living and worshiping in many places over the course of their military life, they have found a loving, serving, and compassionate family at Sunset Ridge.
Larry Bob and Jan Moore
Larry Bob and Jan Moore were married in Austin in 1977 and began attending Sunset Ridge after their move to Pleasanton in 1978 to begin careers in public education. In 1985, their only child, John Carter, was born. They have served as helpers and teachers in children’s education and with LTC. For many years they have assisted and taught in the middle school and high school classes and continue their involvement with that age group. Larry Bob retired from coaching in 2004, and retired from the classroom in 2017 after 38 years of teaching. Jan serves as an administrative assistant in the church office. The Moores appreciate Sunset Ridge's inclusiveness and commitment to showing the love of God to those who have seldom experienced it.
Randy and Lynn Rutland

They spent a number of years in the Sunset Ridge chorus and have taught in the children’s, youth and adult education programs. In the past Lynn has been part of the Women’s Ministry Committee. Randy recently retired from an insurance career at USAA. He and Lynn enjoy spending time with their grandsons and traveling when time permits. Randy for a number of years has been involved with Sunset Ridge’s ministry partnership with our sister congregation in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. Since retiring, he also is volunteering with two local charities in San Antonio that work with the underprivileged. Belonging to the loving Christian family at Sunset Ridge has always been a major part of their lives.
Bill and Carol Wards
Bill and Carol Wards have been active members at Sunset Ridge since they moved to San Antonio in 2003. Bill works as an electrical substation design engineer for CPS Energy, but his favorite activity is flying sailplanes. Bill and Carol were married in 1970; they have three daughters and five grandchildren. Bill says his dedication to Christ has deepened throughout the years as he has felt God’s protection and His pursuit. Bill says what he loves most about the Sunset Ridge family is the compassion and care we show one another, and the warmth with which we receive guests and newcomers. As an elder, Bill feels most humbled and honored by the opportunity to share joys and help shoulder heartaches of this forever family.
